Samson Scientific approached Detalo Creative with a vision of transforming their brand into a modern day symbol of scientific professionalism that could be used across their website and diverse product range.
Quickly getting to work on exceeding the company's expectations, we set after designing a logo mark that embraced the most characteristic representation known throughout scientific technologies - a helix. With this shape in mind, we conceptualised the combination of two S's, experimenting until we produced an optimal design that could be both scaled and partnered with a suitable typeface.
The result - an innovative, bold logo that represents the initials of the company whilst presenting itself as a smooth, three dimensional DNA helix through the use of gradients, shadows and structural features. Presented in addition to a varying font family, colour palette and considered application guidance, the logo now holds pride of place throughout Samson Scientific's brand and marketing operations.
